Feature
● Automatic Reel Feed, Cut and Insert — No Manual Pre-cutting
The EW-1920 feeds directly from a full reel of heat shrink tubing, cutting each tube to the programmed length and inserting it onto the wire in one automated sequence. This eliminates the manual tube pre-cutting station that conventional heat shrink tube insertion lines require, reducing the process from two workstations to one machine.
● ±0.2mm Positioning Accuracy with 99% Yield Rate
PLC control and precision servo positioning maintain tube placement accuracy at ±0.2mm and cutting accuracy at ±0.3mm across the production run. At a 99% yield rate under standard operating conditions, the EW-1920 delivers the consistency that manual heat shrink sleeving operations cannot achieve on high-volume wire harness lines.
● Fully Customisable for Your Tube and Product Specification
Tube outer diameter (1–5.5mm), tube length (5–25mm), insertion depth, and feed parameters are all configurable to match specific heat shrink tube grades and connector assembly dimensions. Non-standard specifications outside the default range are available on a customised basis — contact Eastontech with your tube specification and wire assembly drawing.
Application Range
● Wire end heat shrink sleeving for wire harness assembly
Wire harnesses require heat shrink tube insertion at wire ends before terminal crimping or after splice joints to provide insulation protection and strain relief. The EW-1920 automates this step on production lines processing AWG14–AWG28 wire with standard 2:1 or 3:1 shrink ratio tubing in the 1–5.5mm OD range.
● Connector and splice joint protection
Automotive and industrial connector assemblies use heat shrink tubing over individual wire entries and splice points for mechanical protection and environmental sealing. The EW-1920's ±0.2mm placement accuracy ensures the tube is consistently centred over the splice or connector entry point, meeting the dimensional requirements of harness assembly drawings.
● Consumer electronics and appliance lead assembly
Power supply leads, motor connections, and sensor wiring in consumer electronics and home appliances use short sections of heat shrink tubing (5–15mm) at terminal connections for insulation and colour coding. The EW-1920's 700–1,200 pcs/h throughput matches the production rates of electronics assembly lines where heat shrink insertion is a bottleneck on manual stations.
